Its been awhile since we last spoke, my comments box has been flooded with complaints over the lack of quality blogging I've been doing as of late. Well know the rush of the new school year has calmed down. I'm back and angrier than ever.
When I last discussed the topic of Aggie basketball, I had mentioned how A&M's only true road test was in Arizona when the Ags blew that huge lead...since then things have gotten much worse. We opened Big 12 play as expected, a dominating 20 point win over the Colorado Buffs, then the wheels fell off. Since the win A&M has dropped its next 3 games. Blow out road losses to Tech and K-State...and then....last nights devastating and draining 5 OT loss to Baylor. Seriously it was the longest basketball game I've ever seen. I still cant feel my feet and I hope to never sit through 5 OTs again. After regulation the Baylor fans could have driven back to Waco before the game had actually ended.
So here's the deal, remember last year when Ok-State and Texas played in that 3 OT thriller? Yea well OSU was ranked 13th at that point. They barely made the NIT, see where I'm going with this? If A&M doesn't right the ship, and right it soon...well were going to be playing some post season games at Reed and looking to go back to MSG. Our problem is the Aggies look real good on paper (paper tigers if you will), but when we get down we panic. ::Sigh:: I could bore you will the Xs and Os, but lets be for real. We are getting out hustled, out coached, out shot, out rebounded.
This team has potential, and we can still make a run in the tourney. The Ags need to find a leader, get back on a winning streak, and not settle for less. They can it done, but if not BASEBALL STARTS FEBRUARY 22nd!!!! Whoop
